The Jungle was fantastic!
Everybody loves to explore the Amazon rivers, villages, it’s native people and jungles. But, a trip to the Manaus region without experiencing these additional local jewels would be self-robbery (included with Eco-Tour)
The Meeting of the Waters
No trip to this area would be complete without seeing the Meeting of the Waters. The meeting is the confluence between the dark (blackwater) Rio Negro and the pale sandy-colored (whitewater) of the Amazon River or Rio Solimoes, as the section is known in Brazil upriver of this confluence. The two rivers run side by side for 3.7 miles without mixing.
The Manaus Opera House
The Amazon Theatre is an opera house located in Manaus, in the heart of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. It is the location of the annual Festival Amazonas de Ópera and the home of the Amazonas Philharmonic Orchestra which regularly rehearses and performs at the Amazon Theater along with choirs, musical concerts and other performances.
Janauari Lake
A visit to this 9000-acre park is an Amazon-like experience, with dry and flooded forests and lowlands. The lakes of the Amazon River, in Manaus, are the homes of the giant Victoria Amazonica water lily- the largest in the Nymphaeaceae family of water lilies. The plant’s leaves grow up to 8.2 feet in diameter, which could carry a small baby.
